God was not created but always existed
Ciaran Mulgrew (Write Back, August 2) cannot do without the stock, atheist question, 'So who made God then?'
I made it quite clear in my earlier correspondence (Write Back, July 23) that the traditional position of Judeo-Christian theology is that God is an uncreated Being, who has no beginning and is without end. The only circular argument is in Mr Mulgrew's mind.
The Bible is, to Christians, the sole rule of faith and practice. Perhaps Mr Mulgrew can identify a similar piece of literature which abounds in such affirmation of divine authorship. It will make a very interesting read.
