Good Samaritan saved the day

Unfortunately my car broke down in the outside lane of the Westlink this morning.

While stranded waiting for the breakdown service, a kind passerby called Lesley McCarthy from Dromara came to my assistance.

He attempted to tow my stricken car to safety, but to no avail. My mother was in the car with me as she had to catch a flight out of George Best Belfast City Airport.

Lesley then went the extra mile (quite literally) and took my mother to the airport in his work van - despite it being out of his way. She caught her flight in time and I was towed off the motorway by the breakdown service.

How lovely it is to know that there are still some kind people in the world.
