Greece may have found the answer
The Syriza victory might - just might - be the best thing to have happened to Greece since the end of the civil war.
Greece has vast oil and gas reserves on its doorstep, in the Ionian Sea and around Crete. This could prove to be a huge bargaining chip in Greece's favour in any restructuring negotiations.
But it will require a very tough government to refuse demands for Greece to hand over control of its oil for a fraction of what it is worth.
Alexis Tsipras might be the person to exploit this wealth and rid Greece of its debt. If this new Left government fails, there is nowhere else for the Greek people to turn.
