Hitchens was a voice of reason

I would like to send my condolences to the family of the late Christopher Hitchens who left us on December 15 after a battle with esophageal cancer. Hitchens was always a voice of reason and his death spells a great loss for writing and intellectual discourse. He made it his life's business to fight against ignorance and casuistry; a new word was named in honour of his rewarding stupidity with a 'Hitchslap'.
