How will gay rights fix our broken Ulster?

When I read the comments of David McIlveen MLA about a "broken Ulster" in your paper (News, June 1), I found myself in position I have seldom, if ever, found myself since 2007 - in agreement with a great deal of what a DUP representative was saying.

But I have a question for Mr McIlveen. On Monday in the Assembly, his party colleague, junior minister Jonathan Bell, said the Office of First and deputy First Ministers will proceed with the publication of a sexual orientation strategy, something which will bring in additional 'gay rights'.

What contribution does David McIlveen believe the said strategy will make towards fixing our "broken Ulster"?
