Irish politicians in glass houses...

LOOKING at the treatment meted out to Gerry Adams, all those stalwarts in Fine Gael and Fianna Fail must be thanking their lucky stars that their shenanigans in the Civil War of 1922 have receded so far in the rear-view mirror of history that they have pretty much escaped all scrutiny for their actions.

Unless, of course, you consider that hoary old saying that the visiting of the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and upon the children's children unto the third and to the fourth is literally true.

Even now, peeping from behind closed fingers at the devastation wrought upon Dear Old Ireland by our present lot of politicians, brings to mind people in glass houses throwing stones.
