Island no longer fit for Royalty

As a regular visitor to Rathlin Island for over 50 years now and a tireless promoter of the hospitality, friendliness and attractions that can be found there, I must admit I was sorely disappointed and shocked to read of the recent incident involving the Royal visitors.

You can imagine my shock and disgust when I heard on the news that the visiting Royal party had been refused entry to the Manor House for a midday meal.

Apart from anything else, this was a once-a-lifetime golden opportunity to show the world what the island of Rathlin could offer in the way of hospitality. Sadly for me, I can never again boast of the hospitality.
