It's one island, two countries
The letter from Seosamh O Noctain (Write Back, June 14) has its facts completely wrong.
He, or she, needs to study geography. Yes, it is correct we live on an island, but the island consists of two countries.
The vote for the Good Friday Agreement, as has been stated, was to secure Northern Ireland within the Union.
It had nothing to do with Seosamh O Noctain's talk of occupation and such of this country.
Seosamh should enjoy the peace we now have thanks to the 'Yes' vote.
