It's time for a new church to be formed

Is it not time a Church of Northern Ireland was formed? How can any clergyman stand in front of a couple to perform the marriage service and say that the Church believes marriage to be the union of a man and a woman when he is in a civil partnership with his male lover? Worse still, with the blessing of his bishop?

If the man and the woman in the pew allow things to go unchallenged, what next? It is against the teaching of the Church, scripture and tradition that the reformers burnt at the stake on an Oxford street gave us. It is a sin and against nature.

However, the word 'sin' is selectively used, if ever these days. Why should the tail (Republic of Ireland) wag the much larger dog (Northern Ireland)?

If we do not defend the faith once delivered to the saints, we will be left with nothing more than a politically-correct system with an equally politically-correct religious veneer.

It is time to put a stop to all this and form the Church of Northern Ireland.
