Joint sovereignty the only 'fair' way forward
According to Nelson McCausland (Comment, July 6), putting specific commitments for Irish Gaelic into an international agreement was one of the major flaws of the Belfast Agreement.
That's nothing compared with the agreement's declaration that NI remains part of the UK. Where is the equality for Irish people in terms of national identity, allegiance and sovereignty?
According to Nelson: "The way forward to a stable and better future has to be on a road where there is real fairness". Fairness would mean equal freedom and sovereignty. Is that what Nelson means?
