Kearney's rights call raises other questions
According to Declan Kearney (Comment, July 25): "The continued denial of equality and rights was addressed by the 1998 Good Friday Agreement and subsequent agreements."
Where's the equality for the Irish national identity and Irish right to national freedom? Kearney had a litany of complaints against unionists and the British Government, but made no apology for the republican campaign of murder and destruction.
He also stated: "Rights and equality belong to everyone in our society." Does that include the right of unionists to remain in the UK?
A formal declaration that unionists will never be forced into a united Ireland is long overdue.
