Khan's runway talk is a betrayal of his office
It is frustrating to see the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, object to the third runway at Heathrow, which recently got the Government's go-ahead.
Surely, the mayor of the capital city is supposed to welcome any new boosts to the economy? Surely, he is to welcome the extra gateways this will provide to cities in and around the UK? Surely, he is to welcome the boost to numbers entering London?
In a normal world, you would expect a mayor to welcome these things. But, instead, we have Mr Khan, being a rigid Labour man, refusing to support anything the Conservative Government puts through - even when it does benefit the people of the UK.
