Lady Butler Sloss should hang her head in shame
I was shocked rigid when I heard Lady Butler Sloss state on television that those who suffered sexual abuse as a child cannot dictate who is to be in charge of any inquiry.
It's inhumane arrogance for anyone to say such a thing.
But to come from a so-called "distinguished" person has shocked me to the core.
I have no doubt that any inquiry carried out, if it bears any credibility at all, will name and shame the abusers that were (or perhaps still are) Members of Parliament. Britain prides itself in adherence to justice.
For this woman to make such a statement only creates more suspicion that some people will go to any length to protect those who abused innocent children.
Shame on you is all I can say.
