Late GAA chief will be missed by many

I am very sorry to hear of the death of Danny Murphy (News, December 7) - a friend and person whom I had the utmost respect for.

Good leaders are always strong, whereas strong leaders are not always good. Danny epitomised a good leader and used his tremendous qualities for the constructive benefit of not only the GAA, but also wider society on this island.

He and his influence will be sadly missed by many. Our sympathies to his family at this time.
