Leches must be challenged
I AM writing in response to Gail Walker's article, headlined 'Why having to be on the look-out for leches is all part of growing up' (Life, September 12).
The NSPCC strongly believes that, while this type of behaviour may be commonplace, it is not acceptable and should be challenged. Making light of this behaviour only serves to normalise it.
We would encourage every child who has experienced any type of inappropriate behaviour to speak to an adult and for any adults who see such behaviour to challenge it, or to call the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000.
