Library closures unacceptable

I WANT to add my voice to those protesting against the proposed library closures in Belfast.

'Two-mile' radius access in a built-up area should be 'one-mile'. A lot of city residents do not have a car. 'Super-libraries' and cities do not mix.

In any case, Ballyhackamore and Woodstock in east Belfast, are both well-used. Closing Ballyhackamore, especially, would leave a big gap in east Belfast.

These proposals are totally unacceptable and need to be radically re-thought.
