Monarch’s visit huge step for reconciliation

The Reform Group, which works for reconciliation between the peoples on this island and between Ireland and Great Britain, warmly welcomes the visit of Queen Elizabeth II.

This is the first visit to Ireland by a British monarch in 100 years and it is long overdue.

Ireland is the 130th country the Queen has visited during her reign.

She is a dignified and compassionate monarch who bears the Irish people nothing but goodwill and symbolises the deeply interwoven nature of the families and nations on the neighbouring islands.

We are sure she will get a very warm welcome and command the respect and admiration she is entitled to during her visit.
