Neil happy with his faith in God
While I found the articles about Neil Armstrong and Northern Ireland most interesting (News, August 27), I wish to make comment on two particular matters.
A comment was made that it is not known if Neil Armstrong ever visited Northern Ireland. I can clearly recall him being at the Giant's Causeway more than 20 years ago, when we were there on a visit with American friends.
He walked around with his Bible under his arm and, later on, he was going to Belfast to speak at a service in the YMCA.
The reverence astronauts had for God was borne out by Neil Armstrong being unashamed to be associated with the word of God.
No doubt his experiences on the moon had left an unshakeable impression on him as to the might and wonder of the Almighty God.
