Nelson McCausland shows his double standards
NELSON McCausland (Comment, October 12), under the headline, 'The vote to join Europe in 1975 was based on a lie... but at last we're getting our sovereignty back', stated at the end of his article: "Thankfully, that great lie has been exposed, the tide has turned and we are now on the way to recovering our national sovereignty."
Nelson's British national sovereignty means a great deal to him. A week ago, he was urging readers to use the 500th anniversary of the Reformation to reinvigorate our Christian faith.
How can he, a reinvigorated Christian, justify imposing his British sovereignty over Irish people in Northern Ireland, thereby denying them their right to their own national sovereignty?
