No remembrance before Irish rugby

I WAS disappointed that on Saturday, November 8, at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, prior to the kick-off in the Ireland/South Africa rugby match, the IRFU failed to commemorate the loss of so many Irish and South African members of the Armed Forces who died during the First and Second World Wars.

Acts of Remembrance took places at the other three Autumn Internationals in England, Scotland and Wales.

The IRFU must have forgotten that Her Majesty the Queen paid tribute to the men who died in the 1916 uprising.
