Nomadic facelift is waste of cash
Once again the Nomadic has made its way into the headlines, like some maritime Phoenix, rising from the deep. Another £3m has been given to continue the restoration of this former rust-bucket, on top of the millions already spent.
Its only contact with the Titanic was at Cherbourg in 1912 when the liner was anchored off-shore to receive a group of first and second class passenger with their luggage. It was alongside the Titanic for about 45 minutes.
