North needs to get moving on transport front

Recently I visited Northern Ireland for a series of business meetings in Belfast. Naturally I arrived by car as public transport provision in the North is not great.

I noticed long traffic jams most mornings and evenings on the Westlink, mainly caused by bulky over sized haulage coming from Larne. Could these not go by rail or use another route?

Also, why is there no through commuter bus service to relieve the daily traffic congestion? Of course one solution would be to construct a flyover or an overhead light railway like the DART.

Perhaps there is someone in the NI Assembly with the ability to see to improving public transport in Northern Ireland, especially for business visitors and tourists.

A fast rail link to the International Airport would be useful.
