Outlaw barbaric halal slaughter
After watching the horrific scenes on television of sheep being cruelly treated by slaughtermen for halal meat, is it not time to ban this traditional method of killing, as other countries (ie Denmark and New Zealand) have done?
We are supposed to be a nation of animal-lovers and this contradicts all that animal welfare stands for.
It is a totally barbaric way to treat these animals.
