Panorama must probe actions of the BBC itself

The BBC Panorama rottweilers who ran the sting operation against Lord Laird should investigate how Lord Patten of the BBC Trust gave, without any form of open competition, his House of Lords crony, Lord Hall, an exceptionally well-paid job as head of the BBC.

They should also do an in-depth investigation into the lucrative, secretive contracts the BBC awards to presenters through limited companies set up as tax-avoidance schemes, and why the BBC refuses to disclose what they are paying those presenters.
