HAVING failed in his mission in Belfast, Dr Richard Haass is now lecturing the political parties from the other side of the Atlantic about not expecting to achieve everything they want. Fair comment.
One local party, I understand, wanted a clearer reference to "terrorists" in the agreement. Too much to expect?
I wonder if Dr Haass would be happy if we advised him and his countrymen to refer to the 9/11 bombers as simply "people who acted outside the law".
What is all this talk about a "war on terrorism" emanating from the White House?
