Pharmacy cuts bad for health

The proposed cutbacks to local pharmacy services of up to £38m are an attack on frontline healthcare services and will affect many people, particularly in rural areas.

I am concerned as to the future sustainability of local pharmacies in both Down district and across Northern Ireland in light of the planned cuts. Health Minister Edwin Poots must realise that local pharmacies are an integral part of the community. This proposal is a prescription for disaster.
