Politician's 'sexist' remark inoffensive

What gets most people through a day's work is a pleasant working environment, usually with a bit of banter.

A politician makes a complimentary remark that he enjoyed a female cycling past him slightly more than a male.

He was not trying to be offensive, just trying to be funny.

What is wrong with that comment?

In this crazy, PC correct world, is he not supposed to appreciate women more than men?

Or is it that he is not allowed to say it?
