Presbyterians have questions to answer


I am not an Orangeman and, therefore, don't feel any need to defend that Institution.

I do, however, have the right to challenge the Rev Ken Newell who, on Radio Ulster, lamented the "reservoir of sectarianism" which exists within the Orange Order. I agree!

Nevertheless, the Rev Newell should be mindful of the 'lake' of sectarian attitudes that exist within his, the Presbyterian, Church.

And if anyone is in any doubt about my assertion, they should read the Westminster Confession of Faith, which lies at the heart of Presbyterianism. In addition, many Presbyterian ministers, today, would refuse to attend a Roman Catholic Mass. I could go on! "Let he who is without sin..." comes to mind.
