Queen spoke Irish on visit

THE Belfast County Grand Master of the Orange Order declared that the study of the Irish language by Protestants is "part of the republican agenda".

The order does not seem to realise this assertion is out of step with the position of the Queen to whom it swears obedience.

During her 2011 historic visit to the Republic she greeted guests in Irish during a state dinner.
