Readers have a heart for charity

I AM writing to thank Belfast Telegraph readers for the support they've shown for British Heart Foundation shops' Big Donation stock appeal.

The campaign is hoping to bring in 600,000 bags of donated items, with each shop in Northern Ireland hoping to receive 1,116 bags of stock. This could raise £11,160 to help fight heart disease in the province.

There's still time to get involved. Fill up a bag and pop down to your local BHF shop today. And it doesn't have to be clothes - good quality CDs, DVDs, books, toys and bric-a-brac are also welcome.

For more information on the Big Donation, click To find your nearest BHF shop, call (0844) 412 5000.
