Review doesn't do justice to a great show

I HAVE to totally disagree with your grumpy review of War of the Worlds at the Odyssey Arena (News, December 1).

First of all, the stadium was not "at best half-full". I would say it was about three-quarters full and the empty seats could have had a good deal to do with the weather rather than poor ticket sales - and it is a massive venue.

To describe Jason Donovan as "where are they now" is grossly unfair. He has just finished appearing in Priscilla Queen of the Desert in London's West End and is considered well enough known to appear in the Iceland ads, which run very frequently right now.

I went to see the legendary Justin Hayward singing Forever Autumn and we were impressed with Rhydian as the Parson.

It was an amazing stage show, great visuals, brilliant singing and fantastic soundtrack - and with Richard Burton thrown in.

If I had any criticism it was that, occasionally, the orchestra was louder than the narrative soundtrack, but that's the Odyssey's acoustics for you.

Was someone from your team in a very bad mood when they wrote the review?
