Rugby hero Jack Kyle was a class act
I HAD the privilege of being at Lansdowne Road when the great Jack Kyle played his final game for Ireland. He was carried shoulder high by his team-mates having played a record 46 times. Nowadays this would probably equate to over 100 caps.
Jack Kyle was a class act both on and off the pitch. He wore his fame lightly and was loved and admired throughout Ireland.
The great Welsh standoff Cliff Morgan claimed that Jack Kyle was the very best. As a person, as a surgeon and as a rugby player, he excelled in every respect.
