Sammy’s right, man is not responsible for global warming

I agree with Environment Minister Sammy Wilson regarding the climate change debate.

The earth has been cooling for the last 10 years yet CO2 levels have still been increasing. How come, if man is supposed to be responsible for climate change?

In fact, Canada has had one of its worst winters on record. Last February the Canadian National Post reported that Toronto received more snow than in any month since 1950.

Much of North America was hit last year by the heaviest snowfalls since the Sixties.

In some parts of China and central Asia, snow fell for the first time in living memory. The majority of the world’s climatologists do not accept that humans are mainly responsible for the present climate change.

There is ample scientific proof that CO2 pollution levels follow temperature rises and not the other way round.

The earth has been much warmer in the past than it is today. CO2 concentrations have been much higher from 1885 to 1961 than they are today.

While CO2 may be the most important greenhouse gas, it is water naturally present in the atmosphere which contributes 95% of the greenhouse effect.

The total emissions of CO2 from land and sea amounts to 97% while humans contribute a mere 3%. Last summer Dr Zbigniew Jaworowski, a radiation expert from Poland, revealed that around 90,000 direct measurements of CO2 in Europe, Asia and the US taken between 1812 and 1961 have been completely ignored by some as they do not fit the theory of man-made global warming.

The US Senate Environment and Works committee released a report in January 1998 supported by over 400 leading climatologists from 24 different countries, including several Nobel Prize winners, casting doubt on the theory that humans are mainly responsible for global warming. The astronomical evidence indicates that it is the sun that is the main driver of global warming.

The director of the St Petersburg Observatory has noted that there is global warming on Mars, but there are no greenhouse gases!

Russian astronomers have analysed sun spot activity from 1882 to 2000 and have noted that the minimum of the cycle of solar activity will occur around 2021 to 2026 and instead of global warming we will be facing global cooling leading to a deep freeze around 2050.

Friends of the Earth and the Greens can attack Sammy Wilson as much as they like but his analysis on climate change is dead right and they are wrong.
