Shocked to have to sign a petition ensuring rights

As a lesbian and a Christian (contrary to what a lot of supposed Christians have been claiming, it is possible to be both), I am shocked to have to sign and share a petition to ensure my human rights are not denied, based on my sexual orientation.

I naively assumed that living in a supposedly free and democratic Western country, which has laws against discrimination, I was safe to relax and enjoy the freedoms afforded to all others. I suggest that those 'Christian' supporters of the 'conscience clause' Bill consider how many of the people they encounter are gay, yet have no objection to providing services to a heterosexual person. As any true Christian knows, the golden rule is, 'Love one another, as I have loved you' (John 13:34).
