Sinn Fein duo can't launder violent past
It WOULD be almost laughable were it not so serious to hear Martin McGuinness and Gerry Adams castigate members of the Dublin government for the chaotic state of the country's finances.
Are they blind to the fact that, in the last few decades, successive governments have been forced to spend billions on security due almost entirely to the actions of their IRA colleagues?
The same group was responsible for the deaths of members of the Garda and Irish army, major property damage and robberies.
It is a bit rich for both of these men to attempt to become laundered politicians in the 26 counties while castigating the very politicians of all parties who were left to shoulder the huge expense involved in those decades of violence.
