Sinn Fein 'jobs bias' is exposed
Jim Allister recently accused Sinn Fein of a pattern of discrimination against Protestants.
His question in the Assembly uncovered that Sinn Fein minister Caral Ni Chuilin's department seems to be particularly well-disposed to Catholic job-applicants.
Of 71 Catholic applicants to her department, 14 were appointed, while just six out of the 70 Protestant applicants were appointed. Out of 18 applications from individuals who were neither Catholic nor Protestant, eight were appointed. Rather than Sinn Fein 'reaching out to unionists', isn't it actually the case that they are actively discriminating against them?
