Some people are blinded by their faith

In her review of AC Grayling's The Good Book: A Secular Bible, Mary Kenny praised "the influence of the Bible" without mentioning its negative influence (Review, June 25).

One Bible verse alone (for the imaginary crime of witchcraft) has been the cause of countless deaths: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live'' (Exodus 22: 18). The fact that the Bible is pro-slavery and sexist is important to point out.

Grayling's Bible has nothing that demands death to anyone and you don't go to Christ's Hell for not believing it.

It's those who are blinded by their faith who refuse to look at the Bible's negative influence.
