St Anne’s have sacrificed a talented man
The decision to get rid of Philip Stopford from his post of director of music at St Anne's Cathedral |in Belfast was, in my opinion, a very bad one. Anyone who had ever heard the choir under his direction would be aware of his great ability.
If the board say it was for |financial reasons, which I very much doubt, why then, as the |article in the Belfast Telegraph states, was he not offered a |part-time position?
St Anne's is worthy of better than a curate with choral music experience. The board members should hang their heads in shame
