I AM glad that in Gail Walker's article (Friday, January 15) at last you have had the decency to print a more compassionate item on the Robinson affair.
Reading this week's Telegraph, it seems you have brought every journalist out of the cupboard tin an onslaught such as I have never seen, on a couple who, whatever their faults, deserve at least a bit of compassion at a difficult time.
The articles themselves contained only a repeat of the story and all the allegations - nothing new - with a vicious desire to give them a metaphorical kicking when they are down.
Shame on you, Telegraph. We have bought you for years because we felt you gave an even-handed treatment of issues, but this was like a pack of wolves let loose against a helpless victim.
