As a former member of the Catholic Church and a child-abuse victim, I would like to ask the members and the Church as a whole one question.
We victims are hurt, annoyed and angry at the way the Church is handling the worldwide abuse that went on within its ranks.
Would they open their hearts, minds and souls and honestly agree with me that anyone within the Catholic Church - no matter what office they hold - if they are found guilty of child-abuse, they should be excommunicated?
It is the only way that victims are ever going to believe that the Church has the victims' best interests at heart .
When our government finally gets the inquiry into child-abuse here under way, people will be shocked by what it reveals.
