Time for more police on roads

Following the recent circus about policing and justice, I will be interested to see if any more officers will be taking to our roads in the near future.

All we seem to hear about is the ever-rising death-toll on our roads and get inundated with yet another road safety advert on TV.

It doesn't take a genius to work out that the money would be better spent on actually putting more of a deterrent on the roads. As both a car driver and motorcyle rider, I witness shocking driving on a daily basis.

I was the victim of an aggressive driver last year, when the motorist tried to run me off the road on my motorbike. Of course, he was never charged with any offence and is free to do it again. Road fatalities will continue to rise unless action is taken soon.
