Time the media highlighted the real cost issues

I REFER to the headline in the Belfast Telegraph (News, December 19) about how much it costs to police parades here.

Why does the media always go on about this, when the IRA is planting bombs in shops trying to put them out of business and draining the economy. How much does that cost in security?

Bomb scares everywhere to stop people getting out to the shops. How much does that cost? Fuel laundering along the border by republicans. How much does that cost?

Sinn Fein won't take their seats at Westminster, but still claim wages. How much does that cost?

At least the marchers at these parades pour millions of pounds into the local economy every year, while the IRA takes millions out of it.

Why don't the media highlight that more often?
