If the BBC Trust can make a hasty decision over the weekend to reward an executive with twice what he is entitled to, it indicates that the organisation is awash with money.
Many other bodies would have to give prolonged, careful consideration to such a decision.
As this is not the case at the BBC, it is obvious that they have no budgetary constraints and hence an endless supply of money.
Now is the time for all hard-pressed, penny-pinching licence fee payers to lobby their MPs to have the licence fee reduced.
