Time to tackle IRFU's mindset

Having attended almost every home rugby international since I was a schoolboy, from Lansdowne Road in the 1970s to the most recent match in the Aviva against England, I feel the hysterical media comment on the fans' apparent lack of support should be directed to the IRFU.

We can lament the loss of the cosy feel of the old stadium, the camaraderie on the drenched terraces, but the lack of foresight to build a stadium equipped for our climate says a lot for the IRFU's attitude to the fans who don't hang out in the corporate boxes.

A little respect would go a long way.
