Trivialisation of terrorism wrong
SO the Belfast Telegraph, too, is in the business of rewriting history (Editorial, October 5). It refuses to depict the IRA, or UVF, as terrorist organisations.
Whatever excuse might exist for Kathryn Stone, there is none for the Telegraph. It witnessed at close hand the gruesome horror of terrorism for 40 years.
But, now, its mission is to minimise and repackage the perpetrators. Shame on you.
The Terrorism Act 2000, which is the law of the land, is explicit in defining terrorism. The application to the IRA and UVF – and others – shouldn't take much intellect.
Equivocating over such an obvious conclusion displays the Telegraph's equally obvious political agenda.
