US finally gets it right over Cuba
DURING the Cuban missile crisis in 1962, I and 15,000 other Americans were 25 miles off the Cuban coast in large landing ships waiting to invade the island. We were all eager to do our job, but thankfully it did not happen.
After more than 50 years of having the wrong policy, President Obama has established diplomatic relations with a country 90 miles away that poses no threat to us and hasn't for decades.
Good work, Mr President.
