We need to get in line with Irish drug laws

I HAVE been following with interest Edwin Poots' concerns on the use of legal highs in Northern Ireland, together with his view that the province should adopt the Irish laws in relation to their ban.

As someone who fought for many years in the South to have these dangerous substances banned, I would like to congratulate Mr Poots on his leadership.

The voice of Northern Ireland is needed to persuade the UK Government that this is the right approach.

There can be no room for dithering, as lives will be lost.
