West is using Isis for propaganda
THE strategic, propagandistic use for the latest terrorist phenomenon, Isis, is to justify the West's support, past and present, for terrorists in Syria, Iraq and beyond.
The more extreme Isis can be portrayed, the greater the alibi the West gains for its support of the 'moderates' – a red herring.
The Isis phenomenon has been thought up to create a narrative for public consumption to justify the West's involvement with terrorists to further its objectives.
The West's involvement in terrorism – training, funding and arming – is well-documented.
