Why celebrate a glorified coffin?

Didn't we make some things in Northern Ireland over the years that actually worked?

The Canberra, designing the Norton Featherbed Frame, portable defibrillators, Shorts' range of aircraft, stuff like that.

I just don't get the celebration of a well-decorated coffin. Riding on the coattails of a certain movie, perhaps, as even the marketing snakes are running out of 'Welcome to Belfast' rubbish.
