Why your aid is urgently needed
In the past year, between 100,000 and 150,000 people died in Somalia due to famine. Most of these deaths could have been avoided if only the West had responded more quickly to the tragedy. Now another large-scale famine is looming in the Sahel region.
Upwards of 12 million people in the Sahel urgently require food, water and medical assistance. The West must move quickly this time if another humanitarian catastrophe is to be avoided.
